Mesh Demister Structure
There are various kinds of mists ranging from gases that contain relatively large particles called “accompanying droplets” to submicron scale white smoke. The mesh demister is a product that catches such mists in its lineate inner, separates and removes them. It is, however, necessary to apply several fundamental laws of chemistry in order to collect mist. In the mesh demister's case, most collection takes advantage of the inertial collision principle.
1. Inertial Collision
When gas accompanying the mist reaches the line, the gas avoids the line's circumference and flows around. On the other hand, mist goes straight due to inertial force, collides with the line, and is collected.
2. Direct Obstruction
1/3 of the mist that rises with the flow of gas and interacts with the line is collected.
3. Brown Diffusion
The tiny mist moves (brown diffusion principle) without regard to the gas, and so is collected by the line.
